I think it's sad when a beautifully crafted, once beloved piece of furniture loses its luster and shine and then is carelessly discarded! It's worth assumably lessened by its visible or structural damage.
I have been thinking a lot about how much fun it would be to repair furniture! Or to save something from the fire pit, bring it back to its once beautiful and beloved condition. (No, I don't have experience with wood working or power tools. But I feel this overwhelming urge to learn!) I want to remind the world that it still has worth and deserves to be loved and needed again!
Does this resonate? Do you see where this is going? Yes, I sure am! I feel that as people, we're a bit the same. No, I know, not the same at all. Just stay with me, my brain will help to level out this thought.
We endure a tremendous amount of stress, change, abuse or loss that changes us in some way. Every part of our journey is important, teaching and molding us into our present selves. We learn from our surroundings what kind of goals to work toward and what to stay away from. But more importantly, we learn lessons along the way and adapt to protect ourselves. Experiences can change our view of everything! We learn about relationships, what they should and shouldn't be like, and life in general.
I feel like emotional damage can possibly be approached in a similar way. Now, hear me out! Every lesson teaches us to adapt; gives us lived experience. This can give us strength, tools to be better equipped for our next battle.
Yes, we need tools! We need to learn which ones, and how to use them effectively. We need to be able to see our worth, so that we know that repair is possible.
We will never fix what we can't admit is broken!
My wish is for people to remember that our past is the biggest part of us! But it is, the only constant. No amount of guilt or worry can change it. We need to admit, accept, and embrace what has happened, and only then, can we be open enough to digest its lesson. Learn from it. Accountability.
I also want to help people escape from their guilt, help to empower them to get back up and show the world what they're made of! Give them the tools and self esteem to get out there and find the path they're meant to be on!
I appreciate your time, and hope that you'll come back! It won't always be serious, we'll have some laughs too!
I also hope that maybe you'll find some of my racing ramblings interesting.
